Product Hunt Launch Checklist

We ended up #3 in the day, only a stone's throw away from dethroning OpenAI's DeepResearch launch launch

Here was our checklist to make this magic happen:

1. We started preparing ~1 week in advance

2. We created specific visuals highlighting Skyvern's features that conformed to the style of past launches

3. We created an interesting launch post that (1) taught people how AI agents work under the hood, and (2) how they might use a system like Skyvern

4. We created a special coupon code for PH Users to consume when purchasing Skyvern credits

5. We scheduled our product hunt launch for a Monday morning to launch at 12:01am PT

6. We prepared a "coming soon" page for Product Hunt and reached out to our entire audience (~9000 people) asking them to sign up to be notified

7. On launch day, I personally messaged over 80 people asking them to engage with the launch

8. I posted on every social channel (LinkedIn, Twitter, Discord) asking the community to engage with us

9. We replied to almost every comment made in the launch, responded to almost every email we received

10. We pro-actively scaled our backend up when we noticed an uptick in user signups + automations being run

But.. what's a checklist without some bloopers? 🙈

1. I accidentally scheduled my "support us on product hunt" email to go out at 10pm instead of 10am

2. I got a linkedin request from the #4 product saying "you passed us on product hunt" (still the best message I've ever received)

3. We actually wanted to launch 3 days earlier (jan 31st) but missed the "coming soon" cutoff...
