Launch Week Day 2: Meet the Debugger

Running workflows end-to-end makes testing difficult!

While autonomy is perfect for B2B workflows in production, when you’re designing a new workflow, it makes testing slow and frustrating. Now, with Debugger, you can run a single block at a time, inspect, tweak, and rerun again—all within the workflow editor

How it works

• Go to the workflow — a browser will load up right where you need it: in the editor. You will see the play icon next to every block and a browser spinning up on the right hand side
• Run blocks one at a time — if you have a login block, make sure to run it and login before testing any later blocks!
• Find a block that’s giving you a hard time? — when you see a run going off the rails, cancel, make changes to the block, reset the browser, and rerun
• Prompt and iterate faster — assemble your full workflow one consistent block at a time and build while you test

We’re hoping to make your Skyvern workflow building a little more user friendly. We’re by no means at a seamless UX yet, but block testing is one step toward reducing the frustration of testing and debugging your workflow. Let us know what you’d like to see next!
